Obsolete Birds

Connected to the mass extinction and the disappearance of bird species linked to the climate crisis, I have started a collection of obsolete media, 35mm slides of birds captured by bird watchers between the 1970’s and 1990’s. Many of these birds seen in the slide collection are now extinct or on the list of the 389 North American birds in danger of extinction.

This collection can be exhibited as a rotating carousel of selections along with information about the species. They can also be projected on my window at Side by Side for outdoor viewing.
