Together We Do Us
Bumper Sticker for Trunk Show
This bumper sticker for Trunk Show was inspired by an incredible group of friends. There is agreement from most of us that this has been the best summer of our lives. This is not because of some potentially fleeting whirlwind summer romance, it is because of friendship and collectivity.
A friend shared these words from Audre Lorde with me, "Without community, there is no liberation.” Because of this group of friends I have felt the weightlessness of joy. They have modeled the freedom we can have, especially as women moving through the world, and together we are defining what a radical community of care can look like.
I'm Going to Live the Life I Sing About in My Song
The Art Gym presented its first summer outdoor project, I’m Going to Live the Life I Sing About in My Song. Inspired by the book, I’m Going to Live the Life I Sing About in My Song: How Artists Make and Live Lives of Meaning, the project took place in a small geodesic dome on the Marylhurst University campus.
Distant Friends
Solo Show for Raygun Projects
The exhibition featured a series of emails that were personally sent to a group of friends upon my move to Chicago in 2015. The emails are discussions touching on life, love, and art. Visitors were invited to respond to the emails by sending an email, which could be included in the exhibition.
