I created a series of projects, interventions, and publications designed to fit specifically with the structure of the conference. The Airport Pick-Ups volunteers formed a welcoming committee. This team picked up out-of-towners at the airport holding a banner that read, “WE ARE HERE FOR YOU,‚” and drove them to their host's home. This same team also drove the participants back to the airport to catch their departing flights, as well as provided a shuttle service to and from the university during the conference.
