There are seven park benches surrounding a circular fountain. However if there is no one sitting on the benches there is no flowing water. Each bench is pressure sensitive to weight so that when a viewer sits down the fountain is triggered into action. The fountain runs in accordance with the number of viewers seated around the fountain, and plays an accompanying song in accordance to how many benches are occupied.

If there is one bench is in use the song One, by Three Dog Night plays and one lone spray of water emerges from the fountain. Two occupied benches will trigger two bursts of water and Two Of Us, by The Beatles. Three benches = We Three, Patti Smith group and a three sprays of water. Four benches in use plays Neil Young's Four Strong Winds and four corners of the fountain are activated with water. Five benches full will play Obviously Five Believers, by Bob Dylan and activate five parts of the fountain. Six benches activated will play Six Pack, by Tortoise and a ring of six bursts of water shoot up from the fountain. And the finale when all seven benches are occupied the fountain goes in to full effect and Willie Nelson's Rainbow Connection plays to the crowd.
